Agent – person who sell insurance policies
Broker – insurance salesperson that searches the marketplace for the best plan for their client
Claim – a request from the policy holder to the insurance company for reimbursement
Collision Insurance – covers physical damage to the covered automobile resulting from a collision
Deductible – the amount the policy holder must pay in a loss before requesting payment from the insurance company
Comprehensive Insurance – auto insurance coverage that protects from physical damage -not caused by a collision- or theft of a covered auto.
Liability Insurance – Insurance paid on behalf of an insured individual for damage or loss of another’s property, arising out of negligence
Policy – written contract between the insured individual and the insurance company
Premium – the price a policy holder pays for insurance protection for a specified amount of time
Term Life Insurance – plans that provide coverage for a fixed period of time
Whole Life Insurance – plans that provide permanent coverage
